If you are wondering if you should put a photo on your resume, the answer in our opinion is NO.

There is no evidence that a photo on your resume will land you the job, but it could do the opposite.

The reason why? You don’t want anyone to make assumptions about you based on your appearance. If you are an aspiring actress or model, by all means add a photo, but if you are applying for an office support position it is best to leave the photo off.

A photo takes up valuable space on your resume, space that should be outlining your skills, background and experience, not your appearance.

A good place to place a photo is on your LinkedIn profile for networking purposes, but keep it professional.
